The book is interesting, but it is mostly narrative. As a result, I got lost in the story at times. Also, the story reminds me of a griot telling a story to a group of children sitting around tree that gets banal after a while. Yet, the strength of the book is its strong description. Moreover, the end of the book provided more dialog which I could follow. I wish the rest of the book was like this. It is very hard for me to follow books but this one did it in a way that after I read it, I felt like I would write a whole book, although I could never do that.
