This is a great read! In it you follow four kids in a misson only they can undertake! I love this book because the plot is great, it has puzzles that I like to solve with the characters and it is all tied up in a way that seems done but at the same time seems to go on! It is a book you need a flashlight for so you can read under the covers! Also suggested: The next book in the series, The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey.

I couldn’t stop reading it until the end because I needed to know what happened. Stewart’s atmospheric storytelling invites a reader to become absorbed in the world he has created.

Kate Wetherall, George Sticky Washington, and Constance Contraire were the others. They thought it was to get into a gifted school, but they were wrong. The kids soon meet Mr. Benedict, Rhonda, Number Two, and Milligan. They are to go on a mission that only children have any hope of completing.
