Matched is a dystopian novel about Cassia Reyes and her romantic struggles as she tries to decide to love her best friend, whom the government has decided is her partner, or the boy who flatters her. The Society lords over all the citizens living in its boundaries, but takes away all senses of autonomy. Matched showed me how much people can overlook simple things like choosing who to love, where to live, what to eat and how much, when to die, and more.
