I honestly didn't expect this series to be good at all. I had to read the first book for Oregon Battle of the Books and I was volunteered by my teammates to read it. I was dreading reading but when I started it I loved it. I hadn't known there was a second and third, along with fourth and fifth book until kind of recently I have read this book series and I have loves it and all of my friends have loved this series too.
