Great book! Eragon, a simple farmer's boy who lives with his uncle and cousin, gets whisked away in a world of villains, dragons, monsters, elves and dwarves. He soon finds out that his is not a simple farmer, but a dragon rider by blood. Soon he is leading a war and becomes a great leader. From farmer boy to leader of the rebellion. Eragon is a breath-taking story. It has now been my favorite mystery book. I recommend this book for everyone. Enjoy!!! Also suggested: Eldest, second book

Eragon is a spectacularly written series. Paolini does a wonderful job of introducing characters with complex personalities and plots that engross you. Magic and creatures we take as myth are always present. This series has kept me coming back to read it again and again.

It was an amazing book even though it was very long. It had a lot of detail but not too much. In the beginning of the book Eragon finds a rock which is really a dragon egg. After it hatches he sets of on a great journey with Brom. Eragon's goal is to kill the remaining Raz'ac because they had killed his Uncle who he had lived with since he was a young boy. Also suggested: The rest of the series (Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance)

I love dragons so this book is awesome.

Follow the journey of Eragon as he sets off to become a dragon rider and encounters many trials and fantastical adventures along the way. It's a compelling book and an encouragement to aspiring young writers, as Paolini was a teenager when he wrote the book. Also suggested: Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance
