Give it a try, if you have the time.
I discovered this book after reading the author's article in class. Was initially fascinated with the book. It provides detailed insight into what poverty and the housing crisis in America looks like. While I can't say it was engaging enough to finish, the stories of these individuals were eye-opening. This book definitely changed my perspective on things, allowing me to realize a lot about my values and other people. Unfortunately, the book became a bit too repetitive. If you don't end up reading this book, I suggest reading his article that explains what poverty in America is like at the New York Times: https:www.nytimes.com20180911magazineamericans-jobs-poverty-homeless.html
