I loved how Roald Dahl was able to tackle the problem of poor parenting and old fashioned ideas about how a girl was supposed to act without giving up his customary humour. It is one of those books you can read over and over again no matter how old you are and still find Enjoyable. Also suggested: Charlie and the chocolate factory

Roald Dahl's book Matilda follows child genius Matilda's journey through a home in which she is hated and ignored, and her school, the territory of the Trunchbull: the horrific headmistress known to terrorize the children. This is a really nice book which was really nicely written! I can't wait to see the movie!
