The Selection is a book set in the modern world but is ruled by kings and queens. The main character is called Maxon and he is about to become king. Before you become king you must have a queen and to get a queen they do a selection. A selection is where 35 girls are randomly chosen and the soon to be king has to get to know each one of them and then choose his favorite. Throughout the book Maxon learns that some people aren't really who they say they are. I think the book is very interesting to read because there are many surprises and you don't know what will happen next.

I thought The Selection was a great book! Although the story wasn't as suspenseful as I had imagined it to be, it was really addicting. This is a great book for fantasy lovers and the ending just makes me want to read the second book of the series!
