Taking place in the Star Wars expanded universe, the novel begins five years after Return of the Jedi and follows the famous heroes as they attempt to establish order in the galaxy. It introduces a new antagonist, the brilliant Grand Admiral Thrawn, who is set on rebuilding the Empire and crushing the beginnings of the New Republic. Many other fantastic characters join in the struggle, including one Mara Jade who is intent on the murder of Luke Skywalker. The book displays science fiction battle strategy at its finest and is a thrilling read for any science fiction lover and a must read for any Star Wars enthusiast.
