One of my favorite things about this book was how relatable the protagonist was. I completely understood the feeling that fiction was better than reality as well as being in love with fictional characters and obsessed with a fantastical world. Her struggle with connecting to other people was also very relatable and I found comfort in knowing there might be other nerds and geeks out there life me : Something else I enjoyed was Cath's character and her relationships as they were so well-crafted and developed throughout the story. Rainbow Rowell's writing is just wonderful in general and I look forward to reading more of her books! Also suggested: Eliza and Her Monsters, I'll Give You the Sun

Fangirl takes an interesting twist on your typical college and coming of age book. Cath, an introverted twin and loyal member of the fandom for the magical series that is Simon Snow, must face the real world when she enters college. How can she survive reality without Simon, or her twin sister who has seemingly moved on from the fandom? This novel really shines a light on how books can change us, and the importance of speaking our minds. Also suggested: Carry On, All the Bright Places
