Annihilation
by Jeff VanderMeer
Give it a try, if you have the time.
It was a really good book. It combined quite a bit of plot twists and suspense, while also giving the reader only as much information as they need to know to understand what’s going on. There are a few confusing parts but if you push through those they make more sense as you continue reading. This is the type of book you read in one day.
