The Ability
by Monica Vaughan
Put this on your must read list!
This is a pretty good book. It's realistic enough to take place in the real world, but also plenty fantasy to make this book engaging. It is about these kids who get powers, and how they are learning to use them. It's realistic in the sense that these kids lead normal lives, and still have to do their best to keep them normal.
