If you are an avid fantasy lover or deeply in love with made-up worlds and crazy creatures, this is the book for you. As a writer, I fell head-over-heels for the way Andrew Peterson brought the story to life. The book is well woven and simply wonderful. I would highly recommend that people read this and, just like me, let themselves be carried away, into the world of Aerwiar. Also suggested: North! Or be Eaten

It is a great book, full of adventure and suspense. One of my favorite parts is when Nia makes Maggotloaf for Commander Gnorm save her children from being taken on the Black Carriage. I also enjoyed how the author spins the story so that it is hard to stop reading. Also suggested: North or be Eaten, the Monster in the Hollows, the Warden and the Wolf King.
