6.510. I liked this book. Well, liked as in I was engaged when I read it, but it didn't invoke as much emotion in me as the other Dark Tower novels. Since I rarely read books I dislike, unfortunately this one is below average on my total things read. The Wind Through the Keyhole is considered book 3.5 in the Dark Tower series, and is similar to Wizard and Glass in that it's mostly just Roland describing another one of his adventures as a young gunslinger in Mid-World and a story within a story. From that alone I thought I'd love it, but without Roland's ka-tet, Cuthbert and Alain, there wasn't anyone for his stoicism to bounce off of, and the meat of the book centered around Roland telling an old story from his childhood about a kid named Tim. This provided some very interesting lore about some big names such as - SPOILER - Maerlyn and the Red King, but I'm honestly glad readers don't have to read this one to understand the story. Luckily, it was very short, only taking around 4 hours to finish, and it didn't overstay its welcome. Short and sweet! I wouldn't call it bookshelf worthy, but it'll be on there anyways as it is part of the Dark Tower series.
