Storm Drainage: Existing pipes are in need of replacement and all three outfall pipes are difficult to access because they are along side yards. Stormwater runoff from a portion of the neighborhood will be routed to the existing stormwater facility installed by the Oleson Rd (MSTIP3) project, which will eliminate two of the three side yard outfall pipes. The scope of the Dover Ln storm drainage improvements has expanded because nearly all of the storm system on Dover Ln. and adjacent streets is in need of rehabilitation or replacement. There are now two projects: Dover South (CIP 8098A) and Dover North (CIP 8098B).Sanitary Sewer: The sanitary sewer pipe is made from transite and has reached the end of its useful life. The bottoms of the pipes and the joints are showing signs of erosion. The sanitary sewer system can take advantage of trenchless rehabilitation methods. Wastewater from this area flows into the City of Portland’s collection system making it ineligible for sewer lateral replacement under the CWS I & I reduction program.
