WWSP is installing a 48-inch TVWD waterline connection that will provide water to their Metzger service area and primary feed to their Wolf Creek service area. TVWD's water contract with the City of Portland ends in 2026 and will no longer be TVWD's primary water source. The City is installing a parallel 16-in waterline that will provide looping, a resilient Hwy 217 crossing and resiliency to TVWD withdrawal Area 6 and the southeastern edge of the City's existing water system. Constructing the two waterline projects as part of the Western Avenue Roadway Improvements project (CIP 3328) will provide cost savings and reduce impacts to City residents.
