Project Description

Design and Construct approximately 1,425 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron pipe in W Baseline Rd from SW 158th St to approximately SW 163rd Ave which is within Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) Withdrawal Area 4 (see CIP 4128D). In FY 21-22, project extended the scope of work (extend waterline from 163rd to 170th) to be able to tie into North Transmission Line (NTL).

Project Schedule

FY17/18: 11-30-17: Initiated a design contract with RH2.
FY18-19: Final design.
FY 19-20: Work paused, as water line condition assessment in 2018/19 predicted this waterline will last 5 years
FY 20-21: Work paused, as water line condition assessment in 2018/19 predicted this waterline will last 5 years
FY 21-22: Project to be built with NTL Segment 1. 90% design completed.
FY 22-23: Project expected to bid in Early 2023 with the first segment of the North Transmission Line Intertie (NTLI). Construction is expected to begin by mid-2023 and be completed by mid-2024.

Project Justification

The City Council authorized the withdrawal of Area 4 (Waterhouse) from Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) effective July 1, 2018.
