Project Schedule

FY15-16: Began preliminary pump station design
FY16-17: Completed land use and preliminary pump station design
FY18-19: Completed ROW water line design and construction; final pump station design
FY19-20: Complete pump station construction
FY 20-21: Pump station startup
FY 21-22: Project closeout

Project Justification

The original pump station was constructed in 1990 and much of the associated equipment is at the end of its useful life. Replacing the pump station will increase pump efficiency, seismic resiliency, reduce energy costs, and provide flexibility in filling water system reservoirs serving various pressure zones. Additionally, the aboveground facility will provide easier maintenance access and reduce the costs formerly associated with the confined space entry requirements to the underground vault, which required multiple staff members with certification to meet safety regulations.
