The Truth of Right Now

Look elsewhere for a good read — unless you're desperate.
I felt like this was a novel in which the editor returned it to the writer with the phrase needs more conflict. The result was a handful of undeveloped issues, two dimensional characters, and strings left hanging. As a teenager I read realistic fiction to see myself in the characters, but this book just caused me to yell in anger. It frustrates me when people use suicide and mental illness as an attention grabber, rather than handling these very serious issues with grace. I finished it, simply because ridiculous things happened on every page and I was curious. Also suggested: Not reading this
