Put this on your must read list!
This is a pretty good book. It's about Nicholas Flamel and two completely ordinary twin teenagers, Sophie and Josh. They both witness something truly remarkable, magic! No, according to Flamel, it is science, but at the most advanced level, which is alchemy. Nicholas Flamel and his wife Perenelle Flamel were said to have died in the 1300s. But their tombs were empty. Nicholas Flamel and his wife, during this time of year, went by the names Nick and Perry Fleming. When Josh Sophie walk into Mr. Fleming's bookstore they find that odd people have come into the store with the disturbing stench of rotten eggs. A book is stolen from Mr. Fleming's bookshop and Sophie Josh are about to find out what it is, why it is important, and how were the Flamels able to fight off those odd people with something that seems almost like magic? Legend says that he found the secret to immortal life by making the sorcerer's philosopher's stone. This elixir can change any metal to gold, turn coal into precious jewels, and make the drinker immortal. This book is very interesting and if you like magic or sci-fi books, this is definitely a very good book! Of course, the sorcerer's stone and Nicholas Flamel are mentioned in the first Harry Potter book. So if you're a Harry Potter fan, this book is a must-read! Also suggested: rest of the series, Fablehaven
