If you enjoy a more poetic novel, Nelson's I'll Give You The Sun is a perfect book for you. The story is told from two points of view: Noah explains the beginning, Jude, the end. Twins, Noah and Jude, or, as their parents call them, NoahandJude, used to be inseparable. But when Jude ditches her brother for a popular girls' group, Noah needs to find friends of his own. He meets a new guy in the neighborhood when he walks home through the woods from an art class taught at his dream academy CSA. Brian. That's his name. And Noah may or may not be slightly attracted to Brian. Through ups and downs, Noah and Brian become even better friends, although Noah's relationship with his twin sister begins cracking. Jandy Nelson's I'll Give You The Sun is a story about family, friends, and most importantly, it reminds readers that no matter the situation, relationships that have been broken can be resealed and glued back together. This book is outstanding and you must get reading. Also suggested: Simon vs. The Homo-Sapiens Agenda by Becky A.
