TUALATIN VALLEY WATER DISTRICT
JOINT MEETING MINUTES
NOVEMBER 17, 2003

CALL TO ORDER:

The Joint Meeting of the Beaverton City Council and the Tualatin Valley Water District was called to order by Mayor Rob Drake in the First Floor Conference Room of City Hall, 4755 SW Griffith Drive , Beaverton , Oregon at 6:15 p.m.

INTRODUCTIONS:

Present from the City were Mayor Drake, Couns. Betty Bode, Dennis Doyle, Fred Ruby, Cathy Stanton and Forrest Soth. City staff present were Attorney Alan Rappleyea, Assist. City Attorney Bill Scheiderich , Engineering Director Tom Ramisch , Engineering Tech Ed Parks and City Recorder Sue Nelson .

Present from TVF&R were: Board President Richard Burke, Board Members Lisa Melyan, Jim Duggan, Jim Doane, and Gordon Martin. District staff present were General Manager Greg DiLoreto, Chief Financial Officer Bernice Bagnall, Field Operations Manager Dale Fishback, Customer and Support Services Manager Brenda Lennox, Community and Intergovernmental Relations Manager Todd Heidgerken, Engineering Manager Gary Pippin. Also present were Harry Bodine, Richard Crimi, Valley Times Reporter Christina Lent and The Oregonian Reporter Dick Colby.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:

The Council and Board discussed the following topics: 1) Update on ASR; 2) Update on Wholesale Supply Following Portland's Termination of Bull Run Regional Drinking Water Agency and Comparison of Options to Joint Water Commission Long Range Plans; 3) Fluoride Update - City of Beaverton ; and 4) Fluoride Polling Plans - Tualatin Valley Water District.

ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
