CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 23, 2002
CALL TO ORDER:
The Special Meeting of the Beaverton City Council was called to order by Mayor
Rob Drake in the Forrest C. Soth Council Chambers, 4755 SW Griffith Drive,
Beaverton, Oregon, on Thursday, May 23, 2002, at 7:44 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present were Mayor Drake, Couns. Fred Ruby, Dennis Doyle, Forrest Soth, and
Cathy Stanton. Coun. Evelyn Brzezinski was excused. Also present were Chief
of Staff Linda Adlard, Assistant City Attorney Bill Scheiderich, Finance Director
Patrick OClaire, Assistant Finance Director Shirley Baron-Kelly and Finance
Recording Secretary Nancy Earp.
CONSENT AGENDA:
Coun. Soth MOVED, SECONDED by Coun. Doyle that the Consent Agenda be
approved as follows:

Question called on the motion. Couns. Doyle, Soth, Ruby and Stanton voting
AYE, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously. (4:0)
PUBLIC HEARING:

A Resolution Adopting a Supplemental Budget (#S-02-2) for the Fiscal Year
Commencing July 1, 2001 and Making Appropriations Therefrom.
Mayor Drake opened the public hearing at 7:45 p.m.
There being no public testimony, the public hearing was closed at 7:46 p.m.
Coun. Soth MOVED, SECONDED by Coun. Doyle to adopt the Resolution
Adopting a Supplemental Budget for the Fiscal Year Commencing July 1, 2001
and Making Appropriations Therefrom. Couns. Doyle, Soth, Ruby and Stanton
voting AYE, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously. (4:0) (Res. No. 3665)
Coun. Stanton MOVED, SECONDED by Coun. Soth to set a public hearing for
the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2002-03 Budget on June 24, 2002. Couns. Doyle,
Soth, Ruby and Stanton voting AYE, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously. (4:0)
ORDINANCE:

Scheiderich read the following ordinance for the second time by title only:

Ordinance Levying Final Assessment on Property Benefited by the Lombard
Gardens Local Improvement District (Ord. No. 4208)
Coun. Soth MOVED, SECONDED by Coun. Doyle that the ordinance embodied
in AB 02164 now pass. Roll call vote. Couns. Doyle, Soth, Ruby and Stanton
voting AYE, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously. (4:0)
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, the
meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
